EMC Technologies, LLC (EMCT) is a for-profit company created from within NCEMC, including Information Systems Technology and Telecommunications Operations. EMCT was formed in February 2002 with organizational efforts dating back to early 2001. EMCT's current owners are NCEMC and 26 electric member cooperatives in North Carolina. EMC Technologies provides competitive information technology and telecommunications (IT&T) services to NCEMC, North Carolina Electric Membership Cooperatives (EMCs), and other companies with similar IT support needs. By prudently expanding its product and service offerings while diversifying its customer base, EMCT has reduced the cost of technology to its customers. With its robust depth and breadth of expertise, the marketing strategy of EMCT is to manage and develop the technological capability of their customers, allowing them more time and resources to focus on their core business |
